Privacy Policy

RashiAura is a Vedic astrology app for iOS and Android, provided by Infocare Technologies Private Limited, India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app and the website use, why, where it goes, how long we keep it and how you control it. It applies to the RashiAura app, rashiaura.com and the RashiAura service behind them.

The short version

• We need your email address to sign you in, and your birth details to calculate your chart.
• We do not show advertising, use analytics or tracking tools, or sell or share your information for marketing.
• Details you enter for Guna Milana (matchmaking) are used once to calculate the result and are not stored.
• You can export your data, and delete your reading history or your whole account, from the app.

Information we collect

You give us

• Email address, to send one-time sign-in codes and to recognise your account on a new device.
• Birth profile: name, gender, exact birth date and time, and birthplace (chosen from our place list, which supplies its coordinates and time zone). Each change is kept as a new revision so earlier readings stay tied to the details they were made from.
• Preferences: app language, chart style, Rahu/Ketu setting and reading style (Parashari, or Parashari with Jaimini).
• Birth Time Finder answers, only if you use it: your answers about life events and family are kept on your phone. They are sent to our server only to work out the next question and the likely times, and are not saved there. If you save a time the finder found, we keep the time range it found, whether it was likely, and the version of the method, so the app can show that the time came from the finder.
• Day ratings, only if you switch on “How was your day?”: once a day you can rate how the day before went, from Excellent to Very hard. We keep each rating with its date, the place and profile revision it was read for, and the Gold, Silver, Copper or Iron reading the app gave that day.
• Guna Milana inputs: the second person’s birth date, time and place. These are sent once to calculate the result and are not saved on our servers or kept in your history. A PDF is created only when you choose to share one.
• Messages you send to our support address.

We create

• Charts and readings calculated from your birth profile: planetary positions, divisional charts, Dashas and the readings you open, kept with the date and profile revision they belong to.
• Today’s View, Dhatu Kundli and the Jaimini view are calculated each time you open them and are not stored. If you choose another place for Today’s View, that place is used for that request only.
• Account and security records: an installation identifier for each device you sign in on, session and renewal tokens (stored on your device in its secure storage), and records of sign-in attempts used to prevent abuse.
• Purchase records, if you buy Premium: the store, product, purchase dates and a verification of the store receipt. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card or bank details.
• Server logs: technical events and errors, with the time and network address of requests. Logs do not contain your birth details or the content of your requests and are deleted after 14 days.

The app uses your device’s time zone to show dates and times correctly. It does not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To calculate and show your charts, Dashas, readings, Today’s View, Dhatu Kundli, the Jaimini view, the Birth Time Finder and Guna Milana.
• To restore your profile, history and Premium access after a reinstall or on a new device.
• To verify purchases with Apple or Google and give you the features you paid for.
• To check how well our day readings match real days, from the day ratings you choose to give. For this we study the ratings together, without names, email addresses or birth details.
• To answer your messages, fix problems and protect the service from misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We process your information to provide the service you ask for, on the basis of your consent when you create your account and enter your details, and where the law requires it.

Who else handles it

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run RashiAura, under their own security and confidentiality obligations, and only for that purpose:

• our hosting provider, on whose servers the RashiAura service and database run;
• Cloudflare, which carries traffic to rashiaura.com and forwards mail sent to our support address;
• our email provider, which delivers your sign-in codes;
• Apple and Google, when you buy, restore or cancel Premium through their stores.

Within RashiAura, only authorised support staff can look up your account, through a private console that needs a password and a code from an authenticator app. They use it to answer your messages, sort out payments and refunds, and stop misuse. They find an account by its number, by the email address you write from, or by your store order number. Every lookup and change is recorded. They see your birth details only when a request needs them, and the reason is recorded too.

Some of these providers may process information outside India. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or of RashiAura.

How long we keep it

• Your account, birth profile revisions, charts and readings: until you delete them or your account.
• Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes; sessions end when you sign out, and a sign-in lapses after 90 days without opening the app.
• Day ratings: until you switch “How was your day?” off and choose to delete them, or delete your account.
• Birth Time Finder results you saved: until you delete your account.
• Server logs: 14 days.
• Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. They contain no birth details.
• Support notes and the record of what staff did on your account: 3 years, also after you delete your account. They contain no email address or birth details.
• Database backups: deleted information can remain in backups until those backups are replaced in the normal cycle.

Your choices and rights

• See and export: in the app, “Your data and privacy” → “Download my data” gives you a copy of your account, profile revisions, preferences, saved Birth Time Finder results, readings, day ratings, membership and requests.
• Correct: edit your birth profile and preferences in the app at any time. To change the email you sign in with, or if you can no longer open it, write to us with the name and birth details in your profile and we will move your account to the new address.
• Delete: in the app, ask to erase your reading history or your whole account (or email us, see Delete your RashiAura account). Deletion takes place after a 7-day grace period, during which you can cancel it. Deleting your account erases your profile, charts, readings, day ratings, Birth Time Finder results, preferences, sessions and sign-in records.
• Withdraw consent: switch off “How was your day?” in Settings at any time, and choose there whether to delete the ratings you gave; or delete your account. Premium is managed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account; deleting your RashiAura account does not cancel a store subscription.
• Complain or ask: write to us at the address below. You may also contact the data protection authority where you live.

Delete your RashiAura account

You can ask us to delete your RashiAura account and its data in either of these ways:

1. In the app: open Settings → “Your data and privacy” → “Delete my account and data”, then “Request deletion”.
2. Without the app: email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my RashiAura account” and the name in your profile. We reply to confirm, then request the deletion for you.

Either way, your account is erased after a 7-day grace period, during which you can cancel the request in the app. We erase your profile, charts, readings, day ratings, Birth Time Finder results, preferences, sessions and sign-in records. Purchase records are kept only as long as tax and accounting law requires, and deleted information can remain in database backups until they are replaced. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account.

To delete only part of your data and keep your account:

• Reading history: in the app, Settings → “Your data and privacy” → “Delete my reading history” (after the same 7-day grace period).
• Day ratings: switch off “How was your day?” in Settings and choose to delete the ratings you gave.
• Anything else: email [email protected] from the address you sign in with and tell us what to delete.

Security

Connections use HTTPS. The app holds no database credentials; only our server reads and writes your data, through narrowly permitted operations. Sign-in tokens are kept in your device’s secure storage and are rotated on use, and store receipts are stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email and device safe.

Children

RashiAura is meant for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

The website

rashiaura.com uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. (The private staff console uses cookies only to keep staff signed in.) Our hosting and Cloudflare process network addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before a significant change applies to information we already hold.
